Stephen Hurworth read for an Arts degree at the University of Cape Town before entering the workforce in publishing. As well he has a Diploma of Bible and Missions from Moore Theological College in Sydney and recently obtained a Graduate Certificate in ICT in Education through Charles Sturt University. Stephen gained extensive e-learning experience while setting up an online learning project in the Christian School sector and has several years’ expertise in the Learning Technologies field, background which he has combined in starting St Augustine’s with his wife Catherine.
Stephen is a believer in Classical Christian Education having concluded that it is imperative that Western youth rediscover their heritage and that this is the best way of achieving this objective. Moreover, he believes strongly that a revival of Christianity within the Western ‘Jerusalem’ will only occur if we are able to critically engage with the great conversation of the past including appreciating our own European Classical roots.
